What are the benefits of Hove Huts?
Having beach huts available on Hove Lawns for day rental provides several benefits to the local community.
Greater accessibility to beach huts - there are currently no other rental options available and the cost of purchasing a beach is typically prohibitively expensive.
Attracting greater footfall to the Brighton and Hove seafront area, benefitting local businesses through additional customers.
The colourful nature of the beach huts fits in beautifully with the dynamic aesthetic of Brighton and Hove seafront. They add an extra element to the scenery.
Each hut offers a unique and private space for businesses and remote workers to work from without the need to hire a hotel room.
Clubs and societies can use the huts as a central meeting point or location without committing to expensive, long-term lease agreements.
Galleries and local artists can use the huts to display their works of art again, without costly leasing agreements.
Where are the huts?
The beach huts are located on Hove Lawns, approximately 100 metres from The Meeting Place Café.
When can I access the huts?
Once hired, the huts can be accessed from 10am to 8pm. It’s important to note the huts cannot be slept in.
How long are the beach huts here for?
The beach huts are only in position and available to hire until the end of September 2025 - get in quick!
How do I hire?
To hire a hut, just click here and complete the form. Once complete, confirmation will be emailed to you and you can look forward to your stay.
What happens if I need to cancel?
All cancellation terms are available on your booking form.
Can I purchase a hut?
No, not at the moment. These huts won’t be remaining in this position after the summer season. That said, they may become available to purchase at a pre-existing run of huts elsewhere in Brighton and Hove. To register your interest, please contact hello@hove-huts.co.uk and we will keep in touch when we know more.
Do these huts have planning permission?
The huts are currently operating on a temporary event licence, as they will be removed at the end of the summer. Planning has been requested for a 3-year term but not for the huts to be in situ permanently, only to come out each summer.
